Mergellina and the seafront of Naples can be transformed into pedestrian areas by providing an underwater road crossing (which connects to the ring road and highways) determines and five large underwater parking lots and service equipment.
From the root of Posillipo to the east, a new-found relationship between city and sea: and traffic circles as places of aggregation, poles of reference of the walk on the cliffs from Castel dell’Ovo to Mergellina where a series of small stone cavee open to the beach.

Underwater parking lots made in the basin, transported by sea and then sunk in the places where they are needed (same technology for the new road axis), no negative impact on the usual liveability during the construction period.
The parking lots, in correspondence of the present reefs, are studied to answer to the greater demand of the summer period: in winter they are partially convertible as garaging for boats up to nine meters. Small beaches for bathing and landing points are reconfigured. In the ascent towards the city, minute commercial and service equipment. The intervention determines on the surface urban spaces for pedestrians and cyclists who take advantage of the exceptional environmental and panoramic condition.
